It’s a fact of connected life everyone from my teenage son to Hillary Clinton has to unnnnn…..face. Google had its tactical dance with China, India and the politically expedient mapping affair. And now Facebook, playing politics and making protestor’s FB profiles murky has thrown its influential omnipresence onto the barricades confronting another hapless government.

Like we saw with Twitter in Iran, access to global friends/followers/fans is stymieing a hidebound bureaucracy defending its privileges.

Wikileaks is resistance but passive. When the internet becomes a tactical “player” in protest movements, we have indeed come into a different time.
