Fresh Cookies in 7 minutes or less – the crumbly truth tracked down

How I dump these cookies.

I  do it several times a week. This  doesn’t actually hinder my web browsing but I hope it ensures my privacy a bit.

In the first screen shot below (Safari browser running on a Mac and Snow Leopard) you will see there are 338 cookies (and in some cases actual small caches of stored data which could include images.) At one time, a mere few years ago, cached images actually made the Web usable since most connections were so slow that downloading images or media like a YouTube video took a long time. Caching is an early web technology that was a solution for the problem by pre-loading and caching, or saving, images onto your hard drive for instant rendering on a web page. Today glacial network speeds are not really an issue for most of us so dumping the cache won’t slow you down.
